Preference stock capital, 7% cumulative, $50 par: 1,000,000

Common stock capital, $2 par: 720,000

Retained earnings: 500,000

In the years 2022 and 2023 the number of common and preference stocks issued were the same. In 2022 a cash dividend of $45,000 was declared while $66,000 was declared in 2023. If no dividends were paid to preference shareholders in Dec. 31, 2021, how much cash dividend must be allocated to preference stocks in 2023? Holding the same given above, but instead, the preference stock capital is non-cumulative.
