Blood removal of 45 ml was necessary for a particular patient. The blood was being collected when the nurse spilled the blood everywhere. It could not be determined how much blood had been removed. The nurse wiped all the blood from the floor with guaze pads. these wet guaze pads were thoroughly rinsed in a bucket containing 1.5 L of water. The guazes were thoroughly rinsed in the bucket until all the blood was removed. The concentration of blood in the bucket was 5x10 to the 6th cells/ml. It was already known that the patients red blood cell concentration was 5x10 to the 6th cells/ml.
