Main Points:
1) You can list the five main points from the reading as a list. You do not need to go into significant detail for each one because most of your journal should be your application of the material.
2) Here is an example: Cultural and linguistic diversity impact special education because students can be misdiagnosed as having a disability when, in actually, they are just different. It is important to remember that difference is not a disability, and educators need to be exceptionally careful when evaluating a student for a disability if he/she has a native language other than English or is from a minority culture.
