One of the thought experiments in roved in "The Trolley Problem" goes something like this:

There's a runaway trolley that is about to run over and kill five people. A nearby bystander cannot stop the trolley or get the five people to safety, but they can pull a lever that will turn the trolley down a sidetrack. Unfortunately there is One person on the sidetrack who will be Killed if the bystander pulls the lever so. To save the five people, the bystander must sacrifice the one person on the sidetrack.

Explain how a Kantian might argue that it would be immoral for the bystander to pull the lever.

And sacrifice that one person to save the five.
