Yes, Amazon would definitely want to develop delivery business and would give a tough competition to the existing delivery companies like FedEx, UPS and USPS.

This could be said by seeing that the acquisition of a French based delivery company and want to capture the market more than the existing delivery companies have.

With the acquisition of French based company Amazon would like to start their own cargo services and would not depend on other and also could make profit out it.

This would be an added advantage for Amazon like to get their products delivered and also can capture outside market to make some additional profit and gain market share.

Also, the main and foremost point is to capture US market and to give a good competition to the existing companies.
