Your manager wants to know how many random samples should be selected to determine the percentage of people in New England who traveled more than 200 miles from home at least once during the past year. Furthermore, you need enough samples to be 90 percent certain that the true percentage will lie within 6 percent of your samples finding. You have no idea what the true proportion might be.
