You know the manager of a small sandwich shop. During the lunch rush, customers arrive, according to an exponential distribution, every 1.5 minutes. You have two workstations. At station 1, the customer's order and payment are taken and at station 2, the customer's sandwich is constructed and delivered. Order and payment takes, on average, 1.5 minutes but it is not constant. Your best guess is that it happens according to a normal distribution with a standard deviation of .5 minutes. Similarly, the construction/delivery workstation distribution is normal with a mean of 2 minutes and a standard deviation of .25 minutes. The shop is small so there is only room in the order line for 4 people and in the delivery line for 3 people. The shop owner wants to know a few things about the service process, so the owner hires an MBA student to run 100 simulations through SimQuick (the owner really cares about the lunch rush, which is 90 minutes long). Oh, I forgot to mention, YOU are the MBA student. The owner asks you the following questions. You must provide evidence to go with your answers using the simulation results shown in the spreadsheet.

1. How often do customers try to enter the shop, but cannot because there is no room to do so?
2. How many people are typically in line to place an order?
3. How long does the average customer spend in line before getting to place their order?
