Question: Drosophila may have full wings (wild-type), or vestigial wings (shrivelled) and may have a brick red eye color (wildtype), or scarlet red eye color. The vestigial gene and the scarlet gene are 26 m.u. apart. A vestigial winged female with brick red eyes was crossed to a full-winged, scarlet eyed male. All the F1 flies were wild-type. A testcross population of 1624 flies was subsequently generated. How many of the testcross flies will have both vestigial wings and scarlet eyes?
