Suppose that in a train derailment, a tank car load (80,000 litres) of concentrated hydrochloric acid is spilled. It is to be neutralized with calcium carbonate according to the following balanced equation:

CaCO3 + 2 HCl ----- CaCl2 +H2O + CO2

How many kilograms of calcium carbonate would be needed for complete neutralization? Concentrated hydrochloric acid is 38.0 % HCl by mass and has a density of 1.19 g/mL
