On January 11, 2005, the Gallup Organization released the results of a poll investigating how many Americans have private health insurance. The results showed that among Americans making less than $ 30,000 per year, 33% had private insurance, 50% were covered by Medicare/ Medicaid, and 17% had no health insurance, while among Americans making $ 75,000 or more per year, 87% had private insurance, 9% were covered by Medicare/ Medicaid, and 4% had no health insurance. 2 Use bar and pie charts to compare health coverage of the two income groups.
