An air-hockey puck has a mass of 50 g and is 9 cm in diameter. It is placed on an air hockey table at 20 C, and the film of air under the puck is 0.12mm thick. The puck is struck with an initial velocity of 10m/s. Assuming the velocity profile of the air in the film is linear, how long will it take the puck to slow down to a speed of 1m/s and how long will it take for the puck to stop completely? How far will the puck travel before it slows to 1m/s? You can assume the table is very very long.
