Solve the all parts of given question:
Question: A tortoise and a hare are having a race on a straight track. The tortoise cannot go very fast, but he is steady and consistent with a constant speed of 0.50 m/s. The hare can go very fast, and is able to accelerate at a rate of 3.0 m/s2. The hare is very arrogant and lets the tortoise get a large head-start to the race. The hare doesn't even start running until the tortoise has been walking for 195 s.
Part A: As measured from the moment the hare starts to run, how long will it take for the hare to catch the tortoise?
Part B: If the distance of their race is only 100m, will the hare catch the tortoise in time and still win the race? Prove your answer choice with calculations.
I need help to find how long will it take for the hare to catch the tortoise.
