The attached file above is a standard-form Canadian confidentiality agreement ("non-disclosure agreement" is the more common term in the U.S.) between Acme Corp (the "Employer") and Amy Haxor (the "Employee"). Accepting the agreement is a condition of employment for Amy should she be offered the position of Lead Programmer at Acme. In recent years, it has become increasingly common in the field of computing and information technology for potential employees to be required to sign such agreements - in some cases even prior to being interviewed for a position. In other words, this is likely not the last time you'll be encountering such a document. The purpose of this assignment is for you to familiarize yourself with agreements of this sort, to get some practice in reading and analyzing them, and to gain some understanding of how they function. So far as possible, explain your reading of the agreement in your own words, using your own vocabulary. Use legal terminology only when it is necessary to make your point (and, ideally, only when you are confident that you are using it correctly). "Explain," in this context, means not simply quoting or paraphrasing what the agreement holds, but describing the elements of the agreement that lead you to your conclusion about what the agreement holds
