In a packet-switched network that uses store-and-forward transmission, host A is connected to host B through router R as shown in the following figure.

Each link (AR or RB) is 1000 meter long and the propagation speed of signals is 2 * 108 meters/sec. The bandwidth of link AR is 100Mbps and the bandwidth of link RB is 40Mbps.

a. What is the propagation delay of each link?

b. Consider a message that is 1000 byte long that is to be sent from A to B. How long does it take to move the message from A to B as a single packet?
