Assignment:
THREAT ASSESSMENT REPORT; PORTSMOUTH HARBOR NEW HAMPSHIRE
Asset Identification: This section of the milestone will guide you through the information required for section I of the final project. Parts A and B will help you identify the key asset, and part C will help you develop an overview of the critical infrastructure sector that your asset belongs to.
The first step in creating a threat assessment is identifying and providing a rich descriptive profile of a critical infrastructure/key asset (or resource). This week you will expand on the profile that your instructor approved in the Module Two discussion. You should incorporate your instructor's feedback in order to refine your original submission. Include the information below:
- Name of facility
- Address
- City
- County
- State
- Critical infrastructure sector
- The federal agency that is responsible for your sector
- Why you chose this asset and how it meets the definition of critical infrastructure
Critical Infrastructure Sector-Specific Overview: As part of the National Infrastructure Protection Plan, the public and private sector partners in each of the 16 critical infrastructure sectors and the state, local, tribal, and territorial government community have developed a Sector-Specific Plan that focuses on the unique operating conditions and risk landscape within those sectors. Developed in close collaboration with federal agencies and private-sector partners, the Sector-Specific Plans are updated every four years to ensure that each sector is adjusting to the ever-evolving risk landscape.
The 2015 Sector-Specific Plans establish goals and priorities for each sector that address the current risk environment, such as the nexus between cyber and physical security, and the interdependence of various sectors.
