The premise of your semester paper project is to choose a film, TV series, or video game and analyze what historical themes stand out to you. Historical themes and depictions are prevalent in pop culture platforms like visual media (movies, TV/Mini-series, Series on streaming media services, video games). For many, our first engagement with history is through pop culture visual media.

DIRECTIONS:

Write a paragraph (four to five sentences) about your History in Pop Culture choice. once submit your proposal, you will need to address the following: What is your choice and why are you choosing this ; how it connects to your understanding of U.S. History? You must also include a working bibliography/Works Cited page with two secondary sources. I leave the citation style up to you, just state in the bibliography section if you are using MLA, APA, Chicago, etc. Use the library to find some resources outside of the course materials. This can be one of the following mediums as long as it deals with a historical moment or theme and the setting/themes connect to the timeframe of our course (1860s to the 2000s).
