This assignment is focused on the types of information portrayed in the everyday media about intimate partner violence (domestic violence). Your assignment is as follows: Over the course of the semester collect two unique news articles every month for the months of September, October, and November. You will have six total articles to discuss in this assignment. Articles must be on the topic of domestic or intimate partner violence.

Briefly summarize each article and address the following questions:

How is the victim/survivor portrayed? How is the abuser portrayed?
Describe the presentation of why the event happened (e.g. was one individual blamed for the event)?
Did the event appear to be extreme? Think about the all of the articles as a group.
How is domestic/intimate partner violence portrayed?
If you have used an internet resource for any articles what types of comments appear in reaction to the article?
How do you feel about the content of the comments?
