Conduct an interview with an HR professional. This interview, which can be in person, by email, or phone, should last approximately 45 minutes and include a minimum of 10 questions. The answers to the questions should be written down during the interview. Do not accept "Yes or No" answers. Probe the answers with your final project in mind. Students should select someone who is currently working in the field of HR.

You may choose what questions you want to ask but the following must be included:

1. How is the effectiveness of HR measured in their company?

2. How do they do ROI? What is the methodology used? How well are the numbers accepted by management? How has this helped HR's reputation in the company?

3. How do HR professionals develop the skills to deal with the future business world?

4. Review the trends with the interviewee and ask them which trends are affecting their company and what is HR's role in helping the company be successful in that environment?

5. Does HR sit at the strategic planning table? If so, how did this come about? If not, what is HR's role in helping the company meet it's goals?
