Assignment Problem: NASA Worldview is a Web application that allows you to view recently acquired imagery from several different Earth-observing satellites and their sensors, including MODIS. This web application offers incredible imagery of any earth occurrence such as Hurricanes, Sandstorms, etc...

Under Events, select one of the options for Wildfires then examine the animation of imagery.

Under Events, select one of the options for Volcanoes then examine the imagery of that date and the next couple of dates as well.
2. How is the large-scale volcanic eruption seen by the MODIS sensor?

Click on the 'Camp Fire' Icon under the Welcome to Worldview screen
On the left-hand side click on the 'Add Layers' Tab
Under the Air, Quality tab click on 'Fires and Thermal Anomalies (Day)' to add the layer
Under the Air, Quality tab click on 'Aerosol Index' to add the layer
On the home page select the 'Start Comparison' tab on the bottom right-hand side
- This will populate a scrolling screen to compare the data
3. What are the trends you see occurring as you scroll to the right?
4. What are the trends you see occurring as you scroll to the left?
5. Does the Aerosol Index increase or decrease as you scroll to the right?
6. Does the Aerosol Index increase or decrease as you scroll to the left?
