How individuals engage with their environment shows their relationship with the world. We must consider our interpretations of others' behavior in social contexts as they influence our responses. Different expectations arise from different beliefs about whether children are mainly in control of their actions or if their surroundings largely shape their behavior. The risk and resilience framework is built upon the principles of Piaget, Vygotsky, and other experts, who propose that students have dynamic interactions with their surroundings and the capacity to influence and transform their social settings deliberately. Furthermore, the resilience framework incorporates a viewpoint on the growth and progress of individuals, which has significant implications for our support of young people. Observing progress also allows us to recognize that every youth is on their own specific trajectory in life. Certain students will experience a more or less rewarding and difficult journey than their peers. The development of children depends on how these groups or individuals interact with them; more nurturing and supportive interactions and relationships will likely encourage a better environment for development. For example, if a parent were to create a healthy and robust relationship with their child, it is more likely that their child would develop better.
