Question 1 (350 words)
Evaluating Your Results
One of the most important elements of any discussion section is the evaluation of the results.
In both quantitative and qualitative research, results are typically evaluated and interpreted based using existing theories and published research.
While in your systematic review you are combining the outcomes of existing research, you will still evaluate your findings based on accepted theories and the individual findings from your included and non-included published studies.
After completing this week's readings, use Concordia's library resources to locate and then review a published randomized controlled trial. Use this and your other readings to respond to the following:
1. Why do you think it is important to compare the combined results to the individual results extracted from each of your included studies?
2. How does evaluating the results of a new Randomized Controlled Trial in relation to the results of previous studies differ from the comparisons you will make in the discussion section of your research paper?
