Case Study: American Tobacco is a top-selling tobacco brand in the United States that sells tobacco products such as cigarettes, cigars, and chewing tobacco. American Tobacco is best known for its sleek and attractive packaging and sharp logo that features on all their products. These features have become a trademark of the top-selling brand. Recently, however, American Tobacco has been hit with restrictive regulations, including higher excise taxes, bans on advertising, more pronounced health warnings, and packaging regulations. These restrictions have resulted in a trend of declining sales for American Tobacco as shown in their recent sales reports.

Questions:

a. Explain whether or not restrictions on the packaging of tobacco products is a violation of the industries rights?

b. Without warning labels, what rights of the consumers have been taken away? Explain.
