For this assignment, you will submit a 3-4 page Recommendations Report (Chapter 12) which answers the following question:
How has the Canadian ______ sector (travel, retail, entertainment, service, education, health, etc.) been impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic and how effective has the sector been in adapting its core business practices?
For this report, you may choose (not required) to work in pairs or groups of three. (Go to People > Groups > Final Project where you can add yourself to a group. ) Note that there is a limit of three people in a group and group members must be in the same class section. When submitting a group assignment, just one person in the group needs to submit a file, and the submission will be attached to all group members in Speedgrader. With this group assignment, all group members will receive the same grade unless there are exceptional circumstances requiring individual grading.
Research
You are required to use at least four secondary research sources:
- two online articles
- one website that you believe you can trust for information on your topic
- one other source of your choice
All information drawn from secondary sources must be cited in the body of the report and listed in the references list, following APA documentation guidelines.

• Describe in detail how this business sector been impacted by the pandemic (eg. closures, layoffs, financial losses, supply/demand issues, etc.) and how the sector has adapted its practices
• Include cited statistical evidence demonstrating significance of impacts and business adaptations attempted in this sector to minimize impacts (pp.309-314)
• Include one table, chart, or other data visualization
Conclusion
Now that you have identified the impacts and the strategies attempted in the sector, draw conclusions about the effectiveness of the attempted strategies. Rather than introducing new information, summarize your findings to identify those strategies that should be continued or enhanced and those that should be adapted or discontinued.
