In our first reading in Remix the issue of community is discussed. Make sure you understand the three basic assumptions. Knowing those, along with understanding the Mengestu article,

answer the following.

  1. How has community manifested itself in your life and has your sense of belonging to your communities changed over the years?

This is your first paper. You need to follow the format I will give you. A rough draft of your paper will be due next Monday, February 3. You must bring two printed copies to class. One will be for me, and one will be for peer review which will be done in class. You will receive points for your peer review and the rough draft. The final draft will be due either Thursday February 6rh or Monday February 10. That will be determined later.
