Assignment:

The Sermon on the Mount is a description of a generous response to the unexpected and unlimited generosity initiated by God. It describes the way in which Christians are called to live ethically. The Sermon on the Mount also invites us to willingly experience an ethical transformation in our lives.

1. Identify examples of how God responds with generosity in the Sermon.

2. Identify five "invitations" that Jesus extends through his Sermon on the Mount to embrace the Kingdom of God. Example: Matthew 6. 16-18: If this invitation were accepted, people would turn away from bragging about the good works they do, and would instead simply take satisfaction in the good they bring to others.

3. How can one of these "invitiations/challenges" be related to modern day problems such as social media, peer influence etc.
