A response to a discussion on Culture; specifically learned oppressive cultural norms as well as how globalization creates culture interactions that often result in conflict. Culture is subliminally taught to us from birth. When cultures from different regions interact, there are inevitably differing cultural norms. This is why in the United States, being the 'Melting Pot', struggles to establish cultural norms. Without understood cultural norms the creation of political representation for any minority, especially women, who are cross-culturally oppressed globally. If the cultural norm is to oppress women, how could they ever receive proper representation.
