2) Pose at least one question/request for clarification about, and one important thing you learned from, the syllabus (you can provide more if you wish!). 3) What does Lule mean when he says "media are the 'significant other' of globalization" (11)? (Hint: this is directly related to his thesis!) If you think a peer has an incomplete or inaccurate answer to this question for one of your comments you might consider providing constructive criticism, but be sure you remember the constructive part - this means clarifying what you think needs to be added, subtracted, or altered in their explanation.

4) What does Lule mean with his mixed metaphor of a "global village of Babel" (14-18)? Do you agree with his assessment, encapsulated by this metaphor, that "globalization and media ... are combining to create a dark and divided village" (16)? Why or why not? Giving one or more examples to support your position is a good idea here!
