Question 1: Students are to take on the role of a consultant who has been hired to run a 3-hour workshop for a group of middle managers. A PowerPoint Slide Deck and a supporting One-Page Handout to address the following questions in support of the Workshop's Outcomes will need to be developed. As a result of participating in this workshop, the middle managers will:

1) Understand the difference between how to influence, versus how to persuade.

2) Identify how gender interacts with the concepts of influence and persuasion.

3) Develop future leadership skills in the areas of persuasion and influence.

Question 2: Students will have access to a video from an Industry Speaker to assist them with this assessment. This speaker is a leadership consultant, experienced in delivering workshops on persuasion and influence. Her video, (which can be accessed on the Women in Leadership (WIL) Hub), is to be used as a reference along with academic sources in the PowerPoint Slide Deck and One-Page Handout to support the workshop

1. Explain the difference between how to influence, versus how to persuade including the provision of supporting examples

2. Identify how gender interacts with the concepts of influence and persuasion.

3. Development of at least three (3) workshop activities that will support the development of future leadership skills and how they address the areas of persuasion and influence.
