Many of you are already working in the public sector, working with the public sector, or will likely find yourselves working in the public sector in the future.

Prepare a brief essay in which you think about how federalism issues impact your current or future job. You may want to think about the limits of regulatory power, that is who you regulate or who regulates you, and how that authority is derived from one or the other level of government.

Keeping the above in mind, in a brief essay of no more than 8 pages, and using at least 7 sources, answer the following questions:

Describe the area that you work or would like to work in.

Is this an area of Federal or Provincial jurisdiction?

Explain why this is the case, with explicit reference to ss. 91 and 92 of the Constitution Act 1867 and at least one court case that is not among the four.
