Q. Assume the kinetic energy of a 50kg ice skater melts the ice she is skating on. How fast does she need to skate to melt 8 grams of solid ice which is at its melting point? - Im kinda confused on this problem i know that you use 1/2mv^2 and mlatent fusion but what else do you need, the answer the teacher showed us is 10.3m/s?

Q. A skier is accelerating down a 30.0 degree hill at 1.8 m/s^2. How long will it take her to reach the bottom of the hill, assuming she starts from rest and accelerates uniformly, if the elevation change is 325 m?
