1. A uniform solid marble rolls down a symmetric bowl, starting from rest at the top of the left side of the bowl. The top may be considered to be a distance h above the bottom of the bowl. The left side of the bowl is rough, so that the marble rolls down without slipping, but the right side has no friction due to a light coating of salad oils.
