A 10 kg block is sitting motionless next to a spring that has a spring constant of 500 N/m. You push the block against the spring compressing the spring. You hold the block stationary using a force of 100N. You release the block and it slides along the tabletop and up the ramp (angle of incline is 30 degrees above the horizontal). Neglect friction.

a. How far is the spring compressed while you are still holding it?

b. Determine the speed of the block at the bottom of the ramp.

c. Find the maximum distance that the block travels up the ramp.
