There is a delay from the time someone sees a flash of lightning to the time that thunder is heard due to the time it takes for sound to travel from where the lightning struck to where you are when you hear the thunder. If you hear thunder 13 seconds after seeing the lightning, how far away did the lightning bolt strike? Take the speed of sound in air to be 343 m/s. Answer in metres.
