Problem

An article in Infection Control Today (2014) exposed that nursing interventions are often supported by a rationale of tradition and not of research. It was estimated that less than 15 percent of clinicians implemented evidence-based practice on a routine basis. The article goes on to say that it can take up to 20 years for evidenced-based research to be incorporated into everyday clinical practice.
