Assignment:

You need help responding to the following answer:

In my efforts to understand the personal construct assessment, I think the purpose of it is to evaluate how every person interpret and predict information or occurrences. My personal constructs of other people seem to be my opinion of them as a person, which could seem like we judged them at first. Once we get to know them, we label people and even ourselves in a positive, neutral, or negative way.

The self-construal assessment revealed that I think of myself regarding my relationships with others. I scored a 50, which is like college aged women who participated in the study. Although I have a very small circle of friends and family, those who are part of it say a lot about who I am as a person. Seems like this is consistent with what the textbook explains regarding how women develop interdependent self-construals. Men and women just vary on what they recall (Burger, 2019). I find this very interesting since there is always the argument about how men don't remember details of certain important events or seem to be self-absorbed. This concept might explain it all.
