Instructions

A successful business is both efficient and effective. In order to accomplish this, control mechanisms are put in place to monitor activity and keep the business on track. Employees make significant contributions to business, but they also need to have some of their activities controlled. As technology becomes more accessible to employees, efficient and effective companies place controls on how employees use company resources.

This article from PC World provides ideas on this topic. For this discussion, provide examples of control(s) imposed in your workplace, stating both the reason for the control and the intended outcome. Explain how the control was monitored, whether it was effective, and any good or bad consequences for employees. You may discuss your current place of employment or a recent job you have held.

Share your response with your classmates and provide meaningful comments that demonstrate comprehension and analysis to at least three of your peers' posts. When reviewing your peers' comments, discuss an alternative way to provide a control that would meet the same outcome.

Complete your post and comment on others' posts before the due date, and always use correct spelling and proper grammar.
