Situation: You work with another employee at reviewing and sending invoices from service providers to the finance unit for payment. While you were away on a two-month assignment, your colleague handled this task on his own. Now that you've returned, you begin to receive messages from service providers about unpaid invoices. After searching, you find the missing invoices in a file. All are dated for the two months that you were away on assignment. Apparently, your colleague received the invoices, filed them, but never sent them to finance for payment.

Response: Send the invoices to the finance unit for payment and then explain to your colleague that you found a file of invoices received during your absence that needed to be sent to finance for payment. How effective is this response?
