Question: The Bride of Frankenstein (1934) and then jump ahead 40 years to John Waters' most notorious film with drag queen Divine, Pink Flamingos (1972). Please watch both of these films and answer the below questions for both. As you watch these two films, please take notes looking for (1) the social justice concepts, frameworks, and/or lenses you see engaged or that are missing, and (2) what/who is the monster/monstrosity, why and how is it the monster/monstrosity, and (3) how effective are the films at conveying to the greater community these social justice ideas.Treat this like a film journal. Your submission should be 300 words for each film so all together 600 words. You should start with one paragraph answering the first film and a second paragraph answering the second film. You must include examples from the films to back up your responses and provide as much detail as possible. Try to relate these films to class and gender and dive deep into other social justice topics. After you have answered all the information above, add some more related information to social justice, talk about how these films make you feel, really dive into the monsters in these films. These monsters not only confront heteronormativity, gender norms, and patriarchy but also the entire idea of what is 'normal' and 'natural'. Talk about these things in your short essay.
