As a Sales Manager, you realize that your sales people need to think in advance about how they will respond should their ethics be challenged. The following are five scenarios your sales people need to address:
A prospective customer asks how one of your current customers is benefitting from your ERP software. However, the customer they are asking about is also one of the prospective customer's competitors.
A prospective buyer asks for a special concession. Although this is something which you could easily provide, you are not supposed to provide it for free.
A prospective customer, who is uncertain about technology, is relying on you to provide the best solution for their ERP needs. For a higher commission, you could recommend a more expensive set of features than is actually needed.
A customer suggests that it is customary for vendors to provide expensive gifts at holiday season.
A prospective customer suggests that they would prefer to discuss business over dinner and drinks at a particularly expensive restaurant with the presumption that your company would pay for it.
Write a 700- to 1,050-word paper in which you discuss how each of the five scenarios should be addressed ethically.
Format your paper consistent with APA guidelines.
