Other sources are foods rich in beta-carotene, such as green leafy vegetables, carrots and cantaloupe. Your body converts beta-carotene into Vitamin A. Vitamin A is also a common ingredient in products meant to improve skin health. Anti-aging/wrinkle creams and acne medications. It is used to treat psoriasis and hyperpigmentation due to exposure to sunlight (Whelan and Santos-Longhurst, 2022). Vitamin A has also recently been labeled a teratogen.
