Read the book of Ruth (all 4 chapters) and look for the ways that God is still working behind the scenes, even though God is not mentioned specifically by the author. Look at the ways God is involved in the day to day hardships, and the mundane of everyday life. Look at how it points to Jesus as our Kinsman Redeemer through the lens of the character Boaz and his redeemed Ruth. Choose one particular part of the story that resonates with you and answer the following questions.

  • Pray for Insight: What are the key truths God intends to communicate from these passages? Ask God to help you understand what this passage means to you.
  • God Being Revealed: What does this tell you about God and who He is? How does this narrative ultimately set up the stage for Jesus? Spend time worshipping Him accordingly.
  • Now Let's Respond: What does God want you to obey or do differently in your life today? Ask God to help you change.
