The main themes in this book are mental health, suicide, bullying, and sexual assault. This book, which is now a Netflix series, is the story of a girl in high school who made tapes of her reasons why she committed suicide. It covers many different characters and how they deal with the recordings the girl sent out while also going through their day-to-day lives in high school. One of the main characters, Clay, goes through many ups and downs as he listens to all the tapes. He also tries to talk to the other people who are struggling after listening to the recordings. The tapes cover how she was bullied, sexually assaulted, witnessed a sexual assault, and struggled a lot with mental health. Unfortunately, she was unable to find help with any of these issues, which led to her making the tapes and committing suicide. For your response posts, address the following:
