The purpose of this discussion is to explore and engage with differing ways of interpreting and making sense of the week''s "article review" articles through discussion of peer work.
The goal is to make connections with key themes from the week, identify unanswered questions, seek to clarify or reinforce understanding, etc.
To do:
If it is your assigned week for the article review, (Annatherese, Femmie, Brittany), select one of the assigned ''article review'' options located in the weekly module. Compose and post your Article Review by Friday midnight (only if it is your assigned week). Use the four questions below to guide your review writing.
1. Explain the author's viewpoint/main idea/purpose?
2. What research information, examples, and key points back-up and emphasize the main idea/purpose of the article?
3. How does the material in the article relate and connect to the text and other materials presented this week?
4. Key take-aways? Critique?
Everyone: Read and discuss peer article reviews in discussion between Saturday and Monday, noon. 2 comments due by Tuesday, noon. Need ideas of how to engage in discussion?

Criteria for Evaluation:
Article review (only complete if it is your week):
Review demonstrated comprehension of the article, as well as the ability to identify its main idea, key points, and relevance and connection to the greater course themes and concepts being discussed.
Review demonstrated evidence of critical thinking and engagement with the article and its subject matter.
Composed at least one thorough and well written paragraph per review question.
Solid effort made to compose a well written, clear, thorough and edited review.
Discussion contributions (everyone):
