1. How does the concept of the individual in Nature change across the Romantic and Victorian periods? Reference at least one work from each period in your answer. Use direct quotes from the literature. Be sure to cite and document your quotes.
2. Briefly trace the shift from the agricultural (rural) culture to the industrial (urban) culture across the Romantic and Victorian eras. Directly reference at least one work from each period. Again, be sure to cite and document your quotes and/or paraphrases.
3. While lyric poetry typically is seen as accessible to the common man and makes poetry accessible through common language, discuss how that is done using examples of lyric poetry to demonstrate how the Romantic poets made poetry more the property of ordinary folk and not just the wealthy and highly educated. Directly reference specific works. Be sure to cite and document those works.
4. How is the image of "woman" represented in poetry in the Romantic period different from the image of "woman" as she is represented in the Victorian era. Why is there a difference? Be sure to reference specific works of literature. Then be sure to cite and document that literature.
