Assignment:

I am a little confused about insulin and glycogen. I understand how insulin lets cells take in glucose and therefore lowers blood glucose levels and how glucagon lets in more glucose into the blood by breaking down glycogen. If someone's blood glucose levels are super low and they release glucagon, wouldn't they need to wait until their blood sugar levels reach a high enough level for insulin to kick in and actually obtain ATP from that glucose? Also, if someone is exercising and they need energy quickly, how does insulin and glycogen work in that case?
