The servant tries to mollify her with gifts, but she remains adamant. Then he tells her what punishment will be visited on her if she declines the offer. At the end of his speech, she suddenly says: "Oh, I did not realize how much I am in love with Frey." She agrees to marry him but demands that he wait nine nights before they meet.
