Learning Objectives -

Central question: How transparent are the Netherlands mobile industry with regards to their E-waste management?
Sub-questions:
1. What is E-waste?
2. What is transparency?
3. What is the performance of the mobile industry with regards to e-waste?
4. How does e-waste affect the country/economy and the environment?
The Final Project/Dissertation should prove that the student is able to accomplish the following goals:
1. To be able to set up and carry out research in the relevant field of studies. Specifically this means to be able to solve an interdisciplinary problem by way of formulating a problem, collecting data and practical solutions to the problem, giving a feasible solution, and offering recommendations as to its implementation;
2. To be able to underpin the research and the research method(s) by means of theory. It is preferable that the research results can be generalized to such an extent that they can also be used at organisations other than the organisations investigated.
3. To be able to report adequately on the research (by way of content, methods and presentation) and especially to justify the method(s) used.
4. To show a specific interest and competence by the scope and quality of the project;
5. To write the Final Project/Dissertation as a learning process. In writing it, the student shows an integration of the acquired knowledge, insight and skills, leading to the required end qualities;
6. To be able to present the research findings professionally in writing in the first foreign language, English.
