Watch one of the following films: "Ordinary People," "The Squid and the Whale," "What's Eating Gilbert Grape," or "A River Runs Through It." You may also read/listen to "The Family Crucible." a reflection analyzing the family dynamics that are apparent to you and how you think a social worker would intervene with this family. Be sure to include the following in your analysis:
1. An explanation of the family including all members; consider biological and kinship relationships.
2. Relationship dynamics between each member from the perspective of Family systems theory.
3. Boundaries in the family and how they are set and held, or not.
4. When and why you believe the family developed these particular dynamics and boundaries (For example, how is this particular family dynamic "helping" the family?)
5. Describe the community in which the family is living. How does the community impact the families' dynamics and interactions?
6. What you believe the family would need to address in order to heal?
7. Which member of the family do you think would benefit most from Professional Behavioral Intervention, and what would that intervention entail? Include an introduction and conclusion.
