Question: "Am I my brother's keeper?" How many of us have wondered how far our responsibility for our fellow human beings extends? How much help does a person need, how much should we give, and at what point do we feel that a person needs to take responsibility for engaging in behaviors that society has deemed deviant? To what extent has society contributed to these problem behaviors? Does society itself have to rethink its values? In light of the COVID pandemic and recent shifts in societal attitudes, these questions are even more pressing. As professionals, we will examine our profession's responsibility to address social problems.
