1. When the so-called "war on drugs" was initiated by the federal government beginning with Ronald Regan, minorities in America suffered the most. Sadly, the war casualties were the poor and those who had minimal or virtually no political voice. As we know now, the "war on drugs," seemingly, was a disguised discriminatory practice repackaged through politics. The adverse effect of "war on drugs" contributed greatly to disproportionate minority confinement and helped perpetuate social inequality in America today. With that said, which group of people (race and sex) do think were cruelly impacted by the punitive laws of the "war on drugs?"
